Ever wonder why the Super Mario 2 videogame on the original NES had a arabian theme. They decided to not release it in the US(not it is now available as a download for the Wii.)They actually took a game called Doki doki panic in japan, and re-skined it with the Mario crew, when the Super Mario 2 japanese version tanked... Here are some of the art for it...and a shot of Doki-doki in the actual game. To this day this videogame has my favorite designed characters: The Shy Guys... they are really well designed! They are my favorite Mario villain even though they didn't start in a Mario game.
