Doki doki panic=Super Mario 2

Ever wonder why the Super Mario 2 videogame on the original NES had a arabian theme. They decided to not release it in the US(not it is now available as a download for the Wii.)They actually took a game called Doki doki panic in japan, and re-skined it with the Mario crew, when the Super Mario 2 japanese version tanked... Here are some of the art for it...and a shot of Doki-doki in the actual game. To this day this videogame has my favorite designed characters: The Shy Guys... they are really well designed! Here is a shot of one in the back ground of my own comic: Beyond .

They are my favorite Mario villain even though they didn't start in a Mario game.

SpaceMonkey.NO

I like to participate in Kim Holm's online comic Space Monkey. Sending in little suggestions or sometimes not so little suggestions. At the end of the "first season" he was asking for suggestions on the shape of Space Monkey's new space ship... I submitted this design for the contest:

After some time he finally decided to put this design in the comic and sent me this amazing drawing as a prize for the help.

Thanks again Kim!
Love Space Monkey,
Bob

Twilight Zone: Time Enough at Last

I have been enjoying re-watching the entire series of the "Twilight Zone" on netflix. My pal Marshall AKA Calmplex did this drawing of a Twilight Zone character from episode 7 "Lonely" I wanted to do one of my own so I did Burgess Meredith as Henry Bemis in "Time Enough at Last" Episode 8.

KIDS READ COMICS!!!

We are off to Michigan this weekend to table at the "Kids Read Comics" Fare. I will be selling my Mini-comic "Ditto" and drawing sketchcards all day Saturday June 18th and Sunday June 19th.

Here is the Mini-Comic...

And Here is the begining of the Sketchcards. Hulk is done, starting on the Surfer. I guess Doc strange is next for my apparent Defenders love... Other Sci-fi subjects will be drawn.

Anyone in 100 miles from Ann Arbor Michigan should check out this awesome street fest of comics.

Later,
Bob
